Texas TBF Federation Junior Anglers State Qualifier Date: June 21st
Lake: Joe Pool Res. -- Grand Prairie, Texas
Ramp: Lynn Creek Park
Pre tournament meeting: Friday June 20th @ 7: 30 pm, place: The “Club House” at Lynn Creek Park
Format: There will be 2 junior anglers paired up with each boat captain. Each angler is allowed equal time in the front of the boat and in control of the water fished. No parent may captain the boat of their own child. Boat captains are in complete control of the outboard motor and all boat safety. Boat captains may assist with the netting of fish only.
Entry Fee: $40.00 per contestant
Pay out: Proceeds form this tournament will go to the two junior anglers that qualify for the National Guard Junior Anglers World Championship.
Off Limits: Will be the 5 days immediately prior to the tournament date. No contestant, boat captain or family member may be on the tournament waters from sunrise June 16th, until boat launch on June 21st. No official practice day.
Rules and entry form may be obtained online at www.tbftx.org Eligible for entry is any junior angler in good standing with a Texas TBF Federation Junior club, who has obtained the age of 11 but not yet 15 as of Aug. 1st 2008(advanced division) or who has obtained the age of 15 but not yet 19 as of Aug. 1st 2008(senior division).
Suggestion: As stated, there will be 2 junior anglers in each boat. Therefore, when enlisting youth for your clubs, always do it in pairs. This is a great way to get our own kids involved and at least one of their friends!
